Perkin Elmer’s LabChip GX Touch is your solution to quantifying precious samples for sensitive applications. The microfluidics chip draws up as little as 1µL sample using a vacuum sipper. Within the chip, the sample is mixed with dye and marker.
Voltage is applied and a few picoliters of sample is size separated electrophoretically. A lazer measures the fluorescent dye and plots it on an electropherogram. The electropherogram can be translated into a simulated gel image or a table output format reporting band size and concentration. The resulting data is sufficient for NGS quality control or CRISPR/cloning fragment analysis, eliminating the need for agarose gels or spectrophotometers.
The best part is, unlike typical nucleic acid analyzers, the LabChip is washable and reusable.
